How the service works
How fixture repair and installation works
A faucet, sink, shower valve, tub, or toilet has to fit the existing rough plumbing, shutoffs, drain and vent layout, surface openings, and the way the room is used. The visible fixture is only part of the job.
Define the performance problem or upgrade
The visit starts with the leak, pressure, temperature, drainage, movement, finish, accessibility, or remodeling goal and whether the fixture has serviceable parts.
Inspect connections and compatibility
Shutoffs, supply lines, valve bodies, drains, traps, flanges, mounting surfaces, rough-in dimensions, and access are checked before parts or a replacement fixture are finalized.
Repair or install and test under use
After the approved work, the fixture is operated through its normal range while supply and drain connections, seals, temperature control, mounting, and nearby surfaces are checked.

Should I repair a leaking faucet or replace it?

Can you install a faucet or fixture that I purchased?
Yes, owner-supplied fixtures can be installed when they are compatible with the plumbing and site. The model, hole pattern, rough-in, dimensions, included valves and drains, certification, and warranty responsibilities should be checked before the old fixture is removed.
Why can a simple fixture replacement become a larger repair?
A fixture swap can reveal seized shutoffs, corroded supply lines, a damaged flange, incompatible rough-in, leaking valve body, deteriorated drain connections, or inaccessible piping. Those hidden conditions are separate from the new fixture and should be explained before additional work proceeds.
Do you need to shut off water to the whole house for fixture work?
A working local shutoff may isolate one sink, toilet, or appliance. The main water may be needed when local valves are missing, leaking, seized, or part of the repair, so knowing where the main valve is located helps avoid an unexpected delay.
Can a dripping faucet or running fixture increase my water bill?
Yes. Even a small continuous leak adds up, and a running toilet can move much more water without always being heard. Repairing the failed component also reduces moisture damage and scale that can develop around the fixture and cabinet.
What should I measure before buying a replacement fixture?
Check the faucet hole pattern, sink or countertop thickness, supply and drain locations, toilet rough-in, tub or shower valve compatibility, clearances, and access. Bringing the exact model information lets the plumber identify adapters or rough-in work before installation day.
