What we run gas to
Gas piping is regulated work in both states we operate in, and for good reason: the failure modes are leaks, carbon monoxide, and fire. A legitimate gas job here gets a permit, gets sized for the total demand of every appliance on the line, gets pressure-tested before it carries gas, and gets inspected. True Plumbing is licensed for this work in Washington (TRUEPPC781K6) and Oregon (CCB #246792), and we handle the permit paperwork as part of the job.
Sizing is the part homeowners never see and cheap installs get wrong. Every appliance added to a line draws from the same supply, and a line that fed a furnace fine may starve once a tankless water heater and a range join it. We calculate the load for the whole system, run the line that supports it, and leave you with capped, valved stubs where you want future appliances. For earthquake country, we also install seismic shutoff valves that close the gas automatically in a major quake.

How the service works
How a gas-line project is planned and verified
A new appliance connection affects the capacity and safety of the gas system serving the building. Load, route, materials, shutoffs, permits, testing, and final appliance requirements belong in one scope.
Define the appliance and total load
The estimate records fuel type, appliance input, location, existing connected appliances, meter or regulator conditions, and the length of the proposed run.
Plan the route and approvals
Pipe sizing, material, supports, protection, shutoff location, access, and the applicable permit and inspection path are established before installation.
Install, pressure-test, and connect
The completed piping is isolated and tested as required before it carries fuel. Final connection and startup follow the appliance and inspection requirements for the project.

Can my existing gas system support another appliance?
