Sewer Camera Inspection

Sewer Camera Inspection in Vancouver, WA

Nobody should pay for a sewer repair they have not seen. The camera shows you the inside of your line, and the locator marks exactly where and how deep the problem is.

Diagnosis you can watch

A sewer camera is a self-leveling video head on a push rod that travels your sewer line from a cleanout while you watch the feed. Roots reaching through a joint, a belly holding standing water, scale, grease, a crack, or a full break, whatever is in the line, you see it with us in real time, with an on-screen distance counter. The transmitter in the head lets us locate the exact spot and depth from the surface, which turns a repair from an excavation hunt into a marked X.

We recommend a camera in three situations: a main line that keeps backing up despite clearing, before you buy a home whose sewer you would otherwise inherit blind, and before any quoted sewer repair, ours included. If another contractor has quoted you a full line replacement, a camera inspection is the cheapest second opinion you will ever get.

What the camera finds

  • Root intrusion. Roots entering at joints and cracks, seen live.
  • Bellies & low spots. Standing water that keeps trapping waste.
  • Breaks & collapses. Located precisely, with depth, before digging.
  • Grease & scale. Buildup that jetting can fix, shown before and after.
  • Pre-purchase inspections. Know the line before you buy the house.
  • Repair verification. Proof the fix is right, on screen.

Camera the line when…

  • The main line backs up more than once a year
  • You are buying a home, especially an older one
  • A contractor quoted a big repair sight unseen
  • Sewage smell or wet ground with no visible cause

Sent to fix a clog far down the main line that couldn't be reached. Jason was very professional and took care of it, everything's draining like a champ now.

Camera inspection questions

Is it worth doing before buying a house?
It is one of the highest-value inspections in the purchase. A failed sewer lateral is a five-figure surprise, and a standard home inspection does not look inside the line. An hour with a camera before closing tells you exactly what you are inheriting.
What if the camera finds a problem?
You see it when we see it, on screen with distance and depth. Then you get real options: jetting if it is buildup, a spot repair if one section failed, a liner or replacement if the line is done. The camera is why we can quote the right fix instead of the biggest one.
Can you camera any sewer line?
We need an access point, usually a cleanout, and a line that is not completely flooded, a fully blocked line sometimes needs clearing first so the camera can see. We will tell you the order of operations when you describe what is happening.
